Our room had wallpaper coming off the wall, and scuff marks all over the woodwork, missing mirror in the kitchen area. A washer was there, but not dryer and the heating/cooling system did not provide much ventilation for clothes to dry. Most importantly it was advertised as having a queen bed, which it did not.

Good location - pros and cons to apartment
Positive: Good to be able to leave bags in room on day of arrival (from 1200); but shouldn’t really be needed if check in were at a more reasonable time. Great to have free storage of bags on last day. Clean and tidy. AC in main room and bedroom. Oil, washing up liquid, sugar and a few coffee pods available. Good big sofa bed. Lots of great shops, restaurants and bars around. Close to metro. Negative: Weird deposit system. Making you worried you’ll lose security deposit if you don’t submit pics of any issues. Not able to get in to room until 1700. This is the latest I’ve ever had it on the world. Usually latest is 14/1500. No instructions for anything; though contact was relatively quick in providing info when contacted (usually after I’d wasted time looking for non existent info). No Wi-Fi code provided. Had to ask for it. Mold in bathroom. Sewage smell in bathroom. Paper coming away from wall. Paint/bulges on walls. Scuffs on walls. Chunks out of doors. Stains on bed cushions. Lots of noise from street outside (not as noticeable in the bedroom, but is when you draw short straw and get sofa bed) - though does lessen after 2300. Bring earplugs.

Además en el barrio de la Bastilla hay un montón de sitios bonitos y baratos para comer. Negative: Lo que nos disgustó mucho, fue que debajo del apartamento había un bar y en las zonas comunes olía fatal a comida y a mantequilla quemada. Ese olor entraba en la habitación y se pegaba a la ropa y a las sábanas. Y que es un tercer piso sin ascensor.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Good location but neither safe nor secure.
Positive: Location Negative: The staff treated me very badly. The most unprofessional people I have ever talked in my life. The water of the shower transfers to the bedroom so everything gets wet and there is fungus on the wall and on the floor. The building is very old so be careful. The bathroom door was so old and mismatched because of aging that my boyfriend was locked inside for almost 2 hours (the bedroom door looks almost broken also so don’t close it completely to prevent an accident). As this is not a hotel, anyone helped us so we had to fix this on our own. We felt too unprotected. Also, as this is not a hotel, there is not soundproofing, so we couldn’t sleep the first night because of the next rooms party. Be really careful because they don’t guard or protect the place (this is like an Airbnb) so anyone can use it with bad purposes. Be careful specially if you go with children. If you have another option for your holidays, don’t choose this place.

Positive: Nous avons aimé la propreté des lieux, Nous avons voyagé avec nos 2 enfants et nous avons eu assez de place dans l’appartement. Le lit et le sofa lit sont très confortable. La climatisation dans chaque chambre est un vrais luxe à Paris. L’emplacement est excellent. Restaurants, boulangeries et épiceries sont situées à quelques pas. Le voisinage est sécuritaire. Deux stations de métro à quelques minutes de l’appartement. Negative: L’appartement est propre mais dans la sale de bain il y a une petite odeur d’égout.

Positive: location Negative: Strong Pungent smell from when we arrived and throughout our stay in the common areas. Bedroom room light flickering. Communication is very poor and the mode is either WhatsApp or nothing at all. Apparently messages via booking.com is not conveyed accurately I was told even though all the book and leaving instructions were sent via booking.com okay. No information on which floor the apartment is on. If we knew it was on the 3rd floor without a lift we would not have booked. WHB Sink drains very slowly and the shower door does not shut properly. Restaurant cooking fumes and odour seeps through into the bedroom even with the windows shut and the air condition made it worse. No wifi throughout our stay. We eventually received a text message with details after we arrived home. You are expected to empty your bin even though you have paid for cleaning services. We found out at the end of our stay that it was customers bins piled in a room in common stair that was smelling throughout our stay. We also had issues with our deposit refund. We were told the amount was not taken from our account and that the card was just blocked to reserve the fee. The host was not interested in resolving the issue and instead directed us to the banking service provider who eventually resolved it after several email exchanges. The customer approach seem to be claim conscious instead of making provision to support the customer experience. There is no welcome pack/ instructions on how to operate the appliances (yes it seems basic but it is good practice for self catering), no instructions on how to access the WiFi and safe even though information and instructions on how to access the flat, fines for not doing certain things were information sent via email. I would advise anyone booking to read reviews good and bad and the host response before booking.

Apartment small but comfortable. Only issue was bathroom, plumbing needs attending to (bad smells) and seal on shower door needs replacing. Living area is comfortable for two but wouldnt want to have four adults there. Linen is clean and well made. Appreciated having a good fridge and coffee machine. Best thing is the location, so close to all attractions/near several Metro stations. Plenty of places nearby to eat and drink, best boulangerie in the world on corner of street!

Positive: Det bedste ved stedet var at vi havde booket det igennem booking.com de var de eneste, der var til at komme i kontakt med da vi havde problemer - kæmpe tak skal der lyde til Amir (fra booking.com kundeservice i UK) for at handle med det samme og have en løsning inden for 10 minutter. Negative: Først og fremmest der var en LEVENDE mus i vores lejlighed!!!, der løb hen over gulvet og forsvandt under sengen - hvilket i sig selv er vildt klamt og ubehageligt Dernæst blev var der ydet VIRKELIG dårlig service af ChicSuites vi har aldrig oplevet noget ligende. Der var nem og god kontakt da det handlede om praktisk informationer og da de ville ønske os god tur, men det sekund vi havde er problem var det umuligt at komme i kontakt med dem. Vi ringede både til begge de numre de havde oplyst og kom til to forskellig service systemer og ingen af dem kom med løsninger og spiste os bare af med at de ville vende tilbage når de havde hørt fra dem som havde lejligheden, men vi har intet hørt fra nogen af dem heller ikke udlejeren. Derudover skrev vi direkte til udlejer via. booking.com hvor alt andet kommunikation havde forgået, og stadig intet svar.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement très bien situé, agréable et fonctionnel. Le lit est de bonne qualité et l'environnement plutôt calme. Il nous a cependant manqué quelques équipements pour y être plus à l'aise comme une table basse, des éléments de vaisselle (ex : saladier, plus de verre...) et l'odeur persistante dans la salle de bain n'était pas très accommodante.

The airbnbwas located in a great area with lots of bars and shops. A metro station was 5 minutes way, which made it super easy to get around. The appartment itself was very modern and exactly how it was presented online. Its not the biggest place, but perfect for a weekendtrip for three people. We asked if we could check in earlier than 17:00 and the host contacted us on the same day, telling us we can check in at 11:00, which worked perfectly. However!! When we arrived the person preparing the appartment for us was visibly not done cleaning, which was not a problem for us since we just wanted to drop off our bags. We were assured it will be finished when we come back. This was not the case! We came back to a halfcleaned appartment. For example, the toilett was not clean, cups and glasses had stains on them and the sheets on the couchbed have not been changed at all (stains and hair on the pillows). We tried reaching out to the host via the app, asking if we can have clean sheets and the baithroom cleaned again. We never received an answer, which is absolutely not acceptable. In summary we would recommend it as it has a good location, however only if your not to picky with cleanness.

Me and my family had a nice stay at Berthe Morisot apartment. It’s well located in an area served with many restaurants, bakeries, markets and public transports, anyway close to the center. The experience was overall fine, but we have been very disappointed to find a homeless person in the stairs one morning who seemed to have pissed on the stairs in front of our apartment. The communication with the host in that occasion has been bad, as he didn’t answered till the day after (even though he said that they intervened immediately). In general I would suggest to make the building more safe, making sure the entrance door is locked (which was not during our stay and everyone could enter the building just pushing the door). The apartment is well furnished, but we would have appreciated to find a broomstick, a sponge to wash dishes and an hairdryer in better conditions. Keep in mind that the apartment is at the 3rd floor with no lift and a lot of stairs, so I suggest not to bring heavy luggages with you or at least consider the effort. Both check-in and check-out procedures have been easy and we had the chance to arrive early and leave a little later, we appreciated that!

Great location, close to metro, market and reataurants. Comfortable bed, good heater and hot water. It’s a newer place with renovated kitchen. However, during our stay there was a really bad smell coming from the bathroom. The owner tried to fix it two times but it did not help at all. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times and still the place smelled bad. Communication was good, but sometimes not as fast as expected. If they fix the problem with the smell, I recommend this place.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment was clean, modern and very well situated. It is just steps from Voltaire metro stop and you are surrounded by shops and restaurants and fabulous bakeries. One small inconvenience, the TV is not connected to the internet, so you can only watch local channels. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

The apartment was as described in the photos and description. It was in a great location - close to the metro, bakeries, supermarket, and restaurants all close by. The check in process was easy and simple. The listing indicated it provided some amenities which were not there upon our arrival, and we had to go purchase them ourselves which was disappointing (dish soap, hand soap, and laundry soap). Only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided for an 8 night stay. Communication was sometimes very quick, but other times I did not receive a reply from the host at all with questions I had. If there was better communication and attention to detail, I would have given this stay a higher rating.

Un avis global positif en raison de la localisation de l'appartement, de sa fonctionnalité. Appartement agréable, la literie est bonne; mais des points seraient à revoir : odeur dans la salle d'eau, quelques points de propreté, manque de vaisselle (verres, saladier), torchon, table basse, balai / pelle. Nous restons tout de même sur un avis positif et un très bon séjour à Paris.

Bel endroit pour séjourner congortablement à Paris. Tout confort. Le quartier nous a plu. Quelques problèmes de defaut de maintenance ont noirci le tableau. Porte de la résidence hors service ce qui est un problème de sécurité. 3 casiers de bagagerie hors service, peut-être vandalisés, car la serrure semble arrachée. Dans l'appartement prévoir un balai piur le ménage quotidien. Porte de la chambre à raboter, elle frotte sur le sol.
